The Spaniard was speaking during his post-match press conference after the second leg of the semi-final clash against Atlético de Madrid at the Emirates. According to Arteta, it was an amazing game and the supporters were also amazing as they were behind the players throughout the game.
He also spoke about the incredible work that the players put into the game and how well they were able to execute the tactics during the game.
Arteta said,
“To live this kind of moment is an incredible feeling. The supporters set the standards we tried to catch up to! To see pride in their eyes is beautiful. I am very critical of myself. Let’s go for it. Trust me. We put everything. The boys did an incredible job. After 20 years, and for only the second time in our history, we are back in the Champions League final”.
Arsenal won the game 2-1 on aggregate with the winning goal scored by Bukayo Saka during the first half of the second leg.
