Ademola Adeleke, governor of Osun state, has formally endorsed President Bola Tinubu’s re-election ambition in 2027.
Adeleke called the support a “moral and development-driven” choice that benefited Osun state and the Yoruba people.
Speaking after inspecting ongoing work on the Ibadan-Ile Ife-Ilesa road, the governor stated with no hesitation that he supports Tinubu, whom he described as “our own son, father, and leader”.
He said;
“As governor of the ancestral birthplace of Mr President, how can I have my own in the saddle and think twice before embracing him?” the governor asked.
Adeleke said he considered himself privileged, along with Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to have an “illustrious son” of Yoruba descent at the helm of national affairs.
He expressed hope that the federal government would soon compensate the state for the federal highways that had been restored and revealed intentions to seek approval for the reconstruction of the Osogbo-Ilesa route
